Hope’s smiling and welcoming face is usually the first thing patients see when they arrive. Hope has worked in the dental field since 1995 and she started her orthodontic career in 2016. Hope’s highest priority is to provide an exceptional and positive experience for our patients and their families. She truly enjoys interacting with everyone and making all feel welcome.
Outside the office, Hope and her husband, Allen, have 1 teenage daughter, Savannah. Savannah is currently a patient of Dr. Mayers. In her spare time, Hope loves to read, cook, and spend time with her family.
For Dawn, it is extremely rewarding to have an opportunity to positively impact the lives of our patients and their families by creating beautiful, straight smiles. Her primary role as treatment coordinator is to ensure a successful orthodontic experience from initial examination, to treatment consultation, and coordination of financial contracts. Following the initial phone contact, Dawn is the first person our patients spend time with. She strives to make the orthodontic experience pleasant and easy for the patients and their families. It is a wonderful and fulfilling part of her job.
Dawn and her husband, Don operate a farm in Hillsdale County. She is the mother of twin boys who recently completed their orthodontic experience. In addition she also has an older stepson/stepdaughter with 2 beautiful grandsons. In her spare time she loves to sew, quilt, be creative, read and spend time with her extended family at the lake.
Registered Dental Hygienist
If there’s anything that Shanda is passionate about, it’s oral health care. As a dental hygienist, she loves helping our patients maintain healthy mouths and loves to see our patients grow and mature over the course of their treatment. Shanda has found orthodontics to be a very rewarding experience. Shanda, who is with our patients every step of the way during their treatment, enjoys interacting with our patients and asking about which activities they are currently involved in at school.
At home, Shanda is married with three children, (including a set of twins) and owns two dogs. She also attends many sports events, and volunteers at school. . When she finds the time, she enjoys training; it is her passion in life as well as a stress reliever. Shanda has participated in a number of marathons, including the Tough Mudder.
Registered Dental Hygienist and Lab Technician
Peggy is one of our registered dental hygienists helping treat patients in our clinic. Working with a teams she considers family, makes it enjoyable to come to work. She also enjoys the challenge work provides and takes pleasure in seeing the amazing transformation our patients undergo during treatment. Peggy works hard to make each patient feel comfortable with her lively personality, you'll likely hear her first when entering the clinic. Behind the scenes she also works in our lab and fabricates most of our appliances we use.
Peggy and her husband have been married since 1983 and have one grown daughter, Makena. They live on a hobby farm in Lenawee County, where they raise pigs and chickens, and also have two dogs. When she finds the time, Peggy enjoys getting together with her book club, crafting, quilting, gardening, traveling, and amateur photography.
Registered Dental Hygienist and Financial Coordinator
A lot of people can't say they enjoy what they do or who they work with. For Nancy,who is a registered dental hygienist and has been with Dr. Mayers since 1982, the office is a family and we support each other in all aspects, both work and home. Nancy’s favorite part about her job is witnessing first hand how orthodontics improves our patients’ lives and self esteem. Besides answering any questions our patients may have about their treatment, Nancy also oversees most financial matters such as entering contracts and working with our patient's insurance providers.She also orders all the clinical supplies to keep our office running smoothly.
Nancy has been married to her husband, Carl, since 1981. She has two grown children and one granddaughter, Amberlyn, as well as a mini schnauzer she rescued. Nancy's passion is cross stitching which she has been doing for over 30 years. She has stitched several memorials for military families that have lost a son in foreign conflicts. In her spare time, Nancy enjoys playing with her granddaughter, walking her dog, traveling, listening to audio books, and spending time at the lake.
