We recognize that all of our patients are unique and deserve to receive orthodontic care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding orthodontic experience every time you visit our practice.
We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.
I like interacting with our patients and families and seeing each person’s smile change as they go through treatment. They finish with an amazing smile and newfound confidence!
Hope was an oral surgery assistant for nine years and then a general dental office administrative assistant for many years before joining Hillsdale Orthodontics in 2016. She works in our front office, answering the phones, scheduling appointments, billing insurance, and assisting our patients and families. She loves being part of a close-knit practice, having coworkers who are part of her extended family, and helping our patients have a great experience.
Time with friends and family is Hope’s greatest love. She and her husband of over 20 years have a daughter who graduates in 2022, plus two family dogs. She also loves to cook and read.
I enjoy guiding our patients and their families through the orthodontic process and watching each patient grow and blossom through the experience!
Dawn’s background is in customer service and orthodontic treatment coordination. She joined Hillsdale Orthodontics in 2016 and works with our new patients and families, explaining the treatment and walking them through the initial exam and appointments. Understanding that families may have financial concerns, she also works on financial contracts, finding terms that fit with budgets. Dawn loves the camaraderie and teamwork that goes into the care for each and every patient. She also loves the laughter and joy we feel as a group and the opportunities we experience, every day, as we change the lives of our patients.
When she’s not at the office, Dawn is often found with her sons, managing a crop farming operation in Hillsdale County. She also loves to exercise, read, cross-stitch, and spend time with her Yorkie.
Registered Dental Hygienist/Lab
I enjoy getting to know our patients and families during their orthodontic treatment. Watching the changes that happen to a person, as they gain confidence in their smile and become happier and more outgoing, is rewarding!
Peggy started her career in as a hygienist in general dentistry in 1982. In 1990 she moved to orthodontics and hasn’t looked back. At Hillsdale Orthodontics she provides chairside assisting to Dr. Potocki, including wire changes, RPEs, indirect bonding, reties, debonds, and patient instructions. She also works in our lab and handles sterilization procedures. Peggy is happy to be part of a work family that supports one another, always learning new things and laughing together as we provide life-changing care to our patients.
Peggy keeps busy outside of work. She and her husband, who was her high school sweetheart, have been married since 1983. They have an adult daughter, a son-in-law, and a grandson who live in Kalamazoo. Peggy and her husband live on a farm in Lenawee County, which has been in her husband’s family since 1904. They have chickens, dogs, cats, and occasionally pigs and cattle, and Peggy grows veggies in a high tunnel ¾ of the year. When she has downtime, she likes to read, craft, sew, bake, go for walks, and practice yoga.
My favorite part of my job is watching a patient’s progression from start to finish. Seeing how people change, both in appearance and confidence, and seeing their excitement when they see their new smile, is amazing!
Gabby is a clinical assistant to Dr. Potocki, having joined Hillsdale Orthodontics in 2021. She works with patients from beginning to removal, and at every step in between. Gabby greatly enjoys the hands-on aspect of her work, along with visiting with patients. She also appreciates being part of a team that feels like family, with everyone working together to ensure patients have the best experience possible.
When she’s not assisting Dr. Potocki, Gabby can be found studying, as she’s a second-year student at Jackson College. She’s also a yoga instructor who enjoys working out, biking, and traveling.
I love seeing our patients’ smiles after their treatment in braces or Invisalign® is completed!
Jennifer sets up rooms, seats patients, and assists Dr. Potocki with procedures. She also changes ties and wires, takes records, cleans the rooms, and sterilizes instruments. With more than 30 years of dental assisting experience, Jennifer is skilled at patient care, education, and motivation. She loves being part of the Hillsdale Orthodontics family and appreciates how everyone is fun, down-to-earth, and dedicated to our patients and their families.
Outside the office, Jennifer enjoys attending church and listening to music. She also loves boating, riding four-wheelers, trips to the Upper Peninsula, and caring for their many Shih Tzus with her husband.
